Description

This is a building consisting of three properties on Church Street, dating from the 17th century or earlier, although it was re-clad in the 19th century. The structure is timber-framed and faced with red brick and roughcast, with a plain tiled roof. It appears to be composed of two distinct original builds. The building is two storeys high, with a plinth and boxed eaves to the roof, which is hipped to the left and stepped up to the right. It has stacks on both the left and right sides. The left-hand side features a sash window, and the first floor has three three-light wooden casement windows. A 19th-century butcher's shop with plate glass windows is located at the left end, having a projecting canopy supported by iron brackets. The centre of the building has two wooden mullioned and transomed windows with gauged heads. There are half-glazed doors to the left, a pair of doors in the centre, both topped with a flat hood on brackets. A carriage entry with double boarded gates is situated on the right-hand side.
