Description
56 Canon Street is a 2-storey building with an attic, dating back to 1833 and restored from its 18th-century origins. It features colour-washed brick and an old tile roof. The façade has three windows, with the central first-floor window being transomed and mullioned in a raised brick surround, likely the original design. The other windows are modern and consist of three lights. The central entrance has a door with a fanlight and a plain bracketed hood above it, along with a panelled door that includes a rectangular light over. There are also two dormer windows in the attic. This building is part of a group of listed buildings that includes Nos 46 to 64 Canon Street.
