Description

1 and 2 Kingsgate Street is a building dating from 1833, located on the east side of Kingsgate Street. It is part of the same structure as Nos 13 to 16 College Street. The building features a partly 16th-century timber-framed design, but its appearance on Kingsgate Street is characterized by a late 18th century to early 19th century red brick front. It stands three storeys tall, with the ground floor featuring a modern shop front and two panelled doors. Above, there are five sash windows with glazing bars, although two of them are blank. The building has an old tiled roof. The listed buildings from No 40 to Kingsgate House form a group with this property.
