Description
44-48 Kingsgate Road is a building dating from 1833, located on the west side of Kingsgate Road. The ground floor features 16th-century work that has been significantly altered and rebuilt in the 19th century. The structure is made of red brick and stone, topped with an old tile roof. Originally a former house, it has irregularly placed windows, with first-floor windows framed in pairs of brick buttresses that are flush with the face of the wall on the ground floor. The building includes both sash and casement windows, along with modern doors and central brick stacks. This building is part of a group of listed buildings that includes No 40 and Kingsgate House.
