Description

This is an early 19th century building on the west side of Hyde Street. It is two storeys high and constructed of red brick with a distinctive three-course grey brick band separating the floors. The roof is hipped and covered in old tiles. Originally, there were four windows on the first floor and a single window above the door, though this has since been blocked. The ground floor now features a modern shop front and the original glazing bars have been removed from the ground floor windows. The front door is set within a decorative case featuring pilasters with cross reeding at the top, supporting an open pediment with a fluted frieze and reeded dentils. The fanlight above the door has panelled reveals. The building contributes to a group of listed buildings running from number 32 to number 60.
