Description
Kingsgate House, built in 1833, is an early 19th-century red brick building located on the west side of Kingsgate Road. The main front, which faces south towards the garden, features an irregular design with an Ionic tetrastyle portico situated between two projecting wings. The façade consists of four bays with sash windows that have glazing bars. The building stands three storeys tall and the street front also includes two wings. It has a parapet and a slate roof. Inside, the dining room features panelling that was originally from Mildmay House. The building has undergone significant alterations and extensions, particularly in recent years. Kingsgate House is part of a group of listed buildings that includes No 40 to Kingsgate House.
