Nos 53 and 54 on Kingsgate Street are two late 18th century to early 19th century buildings made of painted brick. They are two storeys tall with an attic and feature two windows for the pair, which have 19th century sash windows. The buildings have paired plain doors and a tiled roof that includes two modern gabled dormers. All the listed buildings on Kingsgate Street are part of a group.
