It is situated on the site of a former Carmelite Friary and features red brick construction with stone dressings. The building has a double gable-ended tiled roof with a parapet and is adorned with mullioned and transomed windows. It consists of two storeys and an attic, highlighted by a fine central brick stack and a projecting two-storey porch. An addition was made in 1775, and the building was restored in 1962.
