Description

No. 16 Kingsgate Street is a building dating from 1833, located on the east side of Kingsgate Street. It is constructed of red brick with a base featuring moulded coping and a heavy moulded brick cornice. The building has two storeys and an attic, with five windows, two of which are blank on the left side. The central entrance features a six-panel door surrounded by a casing of engaged Doric columns and a Doric entablature, with panelled reveals. The door itself has raised and fielded panels. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and there are three flat togged dormers. All the listed buildings on Kingsgate Street are part of a group.
