Description
Church Cottage, located at No 17 Silverless Street, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with some grey headers and features a pitched tile roof. The building has two storeys and is adorned with a brick modillion eaves cornice. On the first floor, there are three casement windows with glazing bars. The ground floor includes two sash windows with glazing bars—one from the 18th century and the other from the 19th century—as well as one segmental bay window with glazing bars and 18th-century glass. A modern door is set in the original segment-headed opening. Church Cottage is part of a group that includes No 1 opposite and Nos 1, 2, 4 to 11 (consecutive), and Nos 40 to 48A (consecutive) on Kingsbury Street.
