Woodcroft Lodge

Woodcroft Lodge is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It has a timber-frame core that is encased in brick and has been pebbledashed, topped with an old plain tile roof. The building is two stories high with an attic and consists of five bays, featuring full-height projecting wings at the second and fourth bays. The doorway is now located to the left of the left projection. Each wing contains two-light cast iron casements with cambered heads on each floor and a single light in the gable, along with similar windows in the left bay. Between the wings is a pent roof porch, which now has a three-light transomed casement and a two-light cast iron casement above it, while the right bay is narrow and blank. The roof is hipped to the left, featuring an external freestanding stack at the left end, and half-hipped to the right, with a large ridge stack positioned just left of the right wing.
