Description

Keepers Cottage is an early 19th century cottage located on Church Lane, Colden Common. The building is constructed of brick, with the ground floor stuccoed and the first floor clad in fish-scale tiles. It has an old plain tile roof and brick stacks. The cottage is two bays wide, with a lean-to addition at the left end. A central gabled porch, stuccoed and with bargeboards and scrolled end ridge tiles, features three-light cast-iron casement windows with lozenge panes and a hood moulding, also in stucco. A similar casement is found in the lean-to. The first floor has two two-light casements of the same design. Paired modillion brackets support the eaves. The end stacks are made of cut brickwork with a stepped, offset head on the left stack.
