Description

Laurel Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on the north side of High Street in Lyndhurst. The building is constructed of brick with stuccoed dressings and stacks, and it features a slate roof. It is two stories high and has three bays, with a central narrow bay that slightly projects. The front entrance consists of a plank door with an inserted light, set within a heavy stucco door case that has a hood supported by brackets. On either side of the door, there are twelve-pane sash windows under stuccoed arches. The first floor also has twelve-pane sash windows, and there is a stucco blocking course. The roof is hipped, with stacks located on the return ridges.
