Description

No 24 High Street is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates from the late 18th century and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features painted brick, part rendered, with an old plain tile roof and brick stacks. It is two stories high with an attic and has a three-bay wing at the rear on one side.

The front of the building includes a central two-thirds glazed six-panel door set within a doorcase supported by columns, topped with a full entablature and pediment. To the right, there is a large flat-roofed canted bay with a twelve-pane sash window above it. On the left side, there is a two-story canted bay with a hipped roof. The front also has a two-light casement window and single casements on the side faces. Above the flanking bays, there are flat-roofed dormers with two lights. The building has end stacks.
