Description
The Malt House is a farmhouse that has been converted into a private house. It dates from the 17th century but was encased in the 18th century. The building has a timber-frame core with a colour-washed brick casing and an old plain tile roof. It features three bays and a chimney/passage bay, and is two storeys high.
On the right side of the centre and at the left end, there are 18th-century six flush panel doors that are top lit, with a former blind opening above the right door. The ground floor has three segmental head openings with 20th-century three-light casements, and similar casements are found on the first floor. The eaves are toothed, and the roof is hipped to the left. There are stacks located above the left of the centre door and at the right end of the building.
