Description

The Dell and Dell House are a farmhouse, with an early 20th-century extension that is now largely a separate dwelling. The original core of the building dates back to the 16th century, with further extensions added in the early 20th century. The construction is timber-frame with brick infill, with later additions in brick and some timber framing, all topped with an old plain tile roof. The original farmhouse section is single-storey and attic, with three bays, and has low additions to the right. A pent-roofed timber porch with a top-lighted door is located to the left of the centre and incorporates a baffle entry. Each bay has a three-light leaded casement window. Above the windows are three three-light hipped dormers on the roof, and a large three-light casement at the left end. The roof is half-hipped to the left, with a ridge stack above the door and a large stack at the right end.
