GV II

House, now 2 cottages. Early C18 (brick dated 'ES 1714'), subdivided and added to mid C19; C20 alterations. Reddish brick in Flemish bond on brick and flint plinth; C19 additions of flint with brick dressings; plain tile roof. Originally end-entry plan. 2 storeys, 3 bays with two C19 rear bay additions. Entrance elevation; platt band; segmental brick-arched window openings to ground floor. C20 door to each dwelling, that on left (to Tavy Cottage) in late C20 gabled porch. Late C20 small-pane window to ground floor, centre; otherwise C20 3-light wood casements. Roof half-hipped on left. Stack at right end, and to ridge between left-hand bays. Rear: the C19 bay additions have been heightened in brick; ground floor windows of main range have flat header-brick arches. Left return: original doorway at centre bricked up; small bricked-up opening below eaves. Interior: chamfered beams; original joists; in roof, collared principal rafter roof uses, staggered butt purlins, old rafters.
