Description
Nos 15 and 16 on Old Stoke Road are two cottages that originated as a house, dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. The structure features a timber frame with brick infill and a brick exterior, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building consists of a two-bay 17th-century section with an aisled bay at the rear, and a 19th-century bay to the left, which includes a wing at the back. It is a three-bay, one-and-a-half-storey building set on a large rendered plinth. The entrance is located to the left of the center and features a 20th-century glazed door under a tiled pent porch. To the left of the door are two 20th-century windows, while to the right is a two-light 19th-century casement window. The roof is steeply pitched and includes three regular eyebrow dormers that are weatherboarded, each with small three-light casements. The building also has gable end stacks.
