Description

Wallers Ash is a cottage dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. The original timber frame is now encased in brick, and the roof is thatched. The cottage has three bays and a half-storey. A door, with a baffle entry, is positioned between the central and right bays, sheltered by a tiled, gabled porch dating to the 19th century. The windows are 20th-century replacements for original 19th-century casements with glazing bars. Three eyebrow dormers, each with a two-light casement, are set into the exposed wallplate. The roof is half-hipped and features a decorative ridge piece, with an overswept brick outshot projecting to the rear. Two 20th-century brick stacks are located between the bays. The gables are weatherboarded.
