Description
Bridge House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with a late 18th-century addition at the rear. The exterior features rendered walls and a first-floor band. The hipped tile roof is of double pile design, with the older front part showcasing a modillion eaves cornice and hipped dormers, while the later addition has brick dentil eaves. The larger front section includes a projecting two-storey porch and a narrow rear block. The symmetrical south front elevation has two storeys and an attic, with a window arrangement of two over one over two, and blank spaces at the sides of the porch. The windows are Victorian sashes, and the entrance features a six-panelled door in a plain opening. Inside, the house retains the original staircase, which has 20th-century rails, along with panelled doors set in architraves.
