Description
Bridge Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage that has had 20th-century extensions added to the side and rear. It is constructed of flint and thatch. The front, facing southeast, is one storey with an attic and features two windows. There is also one window in the single-storey east side wing and a small light in the west side outshot. The roof is half-hipped to the east, with exposed timber framing in the gables, and it hipped down to the lower roof of the wing. The roof is also hipped at the west and has low eaves above the outshot, which includes eyebrow dormers. The flint walls are accented with painted brick quoins and bands, while the outshot has boarding and the wing is rendered. The windows are casements. A mid-19th-century wooden porch is attached to the outshot, featuring a gable with decorative bargeboard, an arched frame, and a boarded door.
