Description

Marigold Cottage and Slate Cottage are a pair of cottages from the 18th century and early 19th century, featuring different styles. They have rendered walls with thatch and slate roofing. Marigold Cottage is a single storey with an attic and has two windows, while Slate Cottage is two storeys with one window. The thatched roof of Marigold Cottage is hipped at the south end, with a catslide at the rear and an eyebrow half-dormer at the front. It abuts the gable of Slate Cottage, which also has a hipped north end. Both cottages have casement windows. Marigold Cottage has a plain doorway, while Slate Cottage features a trellis porch with a concave metal hood. To the north of Slate Cottage, there is a narrow, lower extension with a pantile roof.
