Description
Wickhams is a cottage dating from the mid-18th century, with earlier 17th-century and 1946 extensions. It is constructed of brick, featuring blue headers on the first floor, and has an old plain tile roof. The original 18th-century section is a two-story, three-bay building, with a two-story, 17th-century bay added to the left rear, and a two-story, two-bay, 20th-century extension built to the rear behind the right bay. A central 19th-century gabled timber porch with a four-panel door is present. The front facade has two-light casement windows with segmental heads on the ground floor, and three 18th-century two-light casements with 19th-century shutters on the first floor. The roof is half-hipped and sweeps down to the rear, with a central stack. A similar window arrangement is found on the 19th-century bay, which has a separate hipped roof.
