Description
Rags Corner is a cottage dating from the 16th century, with extensions added in the 20th century. The original structure is timber-framed with plaster infill, and has a thatched roof. It is a one-and-a-half storey building, initially comprising three bays, with a matching bay added in the 20th century. The end bay of the original 16th-century section contains a 2-light leaded casement window. In the centre bay, there are leaded casement windows on each side of a post. Above are two 2-light leaded casements set in eyebrow dormers. The roof is half-hipped with a stack positioned above the centre bay. Behind the primary cottage is a 19th-century thatched cottage constructed of colourwashed brick, also with a thatched roof. A 20th-century link building connects the two cottages.
