Description

Brook Cottages is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with later extensions from the 18th century. It is located on the A3057 in Kings Somborne. The construction is timber-frame with pebbledash infill and a shingle roof. The cottage is single-storey with an attic, and originally consisted of three small bays. A later extension projects to the right, and a 19th-century addition is to the left. The front features a planked door in the left bay, a casement window beside it, and a two-light casement window in the other bay. A dormer window with a gable sits above the centre bay. The roof is half-hipped to the left and hipped and swept down to the right. A stack is located between the right and centre bays.
