Description

Staddle Barn at Pittleworth Farm is an 18th-century staddle barn. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and stands on stone staddles, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn has four bays supported by twenty staddle stones and includes double doors on both sides leading to one inner bay. It has a half-hipped roof and an outshot on one side. Inside, the barn has a Queen strut roof with braces connecting to the tiebeams and wall/aisle-plate, as well as ties from the posts to the wall of the aisled side, and straight windbraces.
