Description

Abbots Rest is a house dating from the 17th century, originally timber-framed and later clad in the 18th century. The walls are partly rendered above painted brickwork, with some exposed framing visible on the west gable. It features a hipped thatch roof that has low eaves at the east end. The building is two storeys high and has irregular window placement, including one eyebrow dormer. The windows are casements, with slate hoods over the lower ones. There is a boarded door topped by a tiled gabled hood.
