Description

Thatchings is a house dating from the 17th century, with a mainly 18th century exterior. It features painted brick and render, topped with a thatched roof. The front, which faces west, is one storey with an attic and has three windows above four windows on the ground floor. The eaves are raised, particularly higher on the north side, above the upper windows. The painted walls include some flint panels, and there is a short section of exposed timber frame with cambered openings on the ground floor. The windows are casements, and there is a plain doorway located beneath a thatched canopy.
