Description

Rose Cottage is an 18th-century cottage, with 20th-century additions, situated at a right angle to the roadway in Goodworth Clatford. The cottage is built of stucco with a thatched roof. It is a single storey with an attic. The gable facing the road is half-hipped, while the rear is fully hipped and extends to a low eaves above an outshot. There are casement windows. A thatched cover originally formed a porch, but the door has been replaced with a window. A covered passageway runs along the north side, concealing ground-floor windows and the entrance. On the east side, there is a flat-roofed projection constructed of painted brickwork.
