Description
This building is a barn and stable range dating from the 18th century, located 10 meters east of The Old Farmhouse in Nether Wallop. It is constructed of cob with brick dressings and a plinth, featuring a timber-frame weatherboarded roof covered with plain tiles. The stable section has three bays, with one bay containing a door and another bay featuring a window, and is positioned against an older barn. The taller barn to the left has three bays as well, with a full-height central opening that includes a door and a hay loft door above, along with a window in another bay. The roof of the barn is half-hipped, while the stable bay to the left also has a half-hipped roof. This structure holds a very important position, overlooking the water meadows along the River Wallop.
