Description
The former barn and stable range located to the southeast of Watbridge Farmhouse dates back to the 18th century for the barn and the 1820s for the stable range. The barn is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, sitting on a rubble plinth, while the stable range consists of three bays made from rubblestone. Both structures feature old tile roofs, with the barn having a hipped roof at the northwest gable and the stables having a half-hipped roof at the southeast gable. The barn comprises three bays and includes a central cart entry. Inside, there are raking queen post trusses, along with braces to the wall members, tie beams, and purlins. The stable has two stable doors and a window, as well as a hay loft with a door on the southeast gable. A datestone inscribed 'E.E. and W; B182" ; WP' is visible, arranged in three lines.
