Description
Watbridge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1700. It is constructed of rubblestone with large dressed stone quoins and features brick jambs and arches that are segmental on the first floor. The building has old tile roofs and consists of three bays, with a central northeast wing that forms a T-shaped plan, including 18th-century infill at the east angle. The farmhouse is two storeys high plus dormers.
The main or southwest front has a central four-panel door with a fanlight above, set within a modern open gabled porch. There is a plinth with a moulded band, and the outer bays have four-pane late 18th-century sash windows. The upper windows are mainly leaded casements with three lights, while the central window has two lights. There are two two-light dormers in the outer bays and a moulded eaves cornice. The gable stacks are prominent features. The north wing contains leaded casements, and the infill has a brick north wall and a gable stack. Inside, the farmhouse features chamfered and stopped spine beams.
