Description

Nos. 19 and 21 on Winchester Road are a range of cottages dating from the 17th century, now functioning as two dwellings. The cottages are timber-framed with a thatched roof and feature one storey and an attic, with an irregular arrangement of windows. The roof ridge slopes down with the ground level, and each end of the building is lower, showcasing eyebrow dormers. The front of the cottages has exposed framing with plaster infilling, while the ends are finished in plaster. There are small casement windows, including one former shopfront window that retains an old cornice and pilaster, along with new window-bars. The doorways are plain and have boarded doors.
