Description

Ivy Cottage is an 18th-century house situated on the Wherwell Winchester Road. It is a single-storey and attic dwelling with three windows. The walls are plastered and the roof is thatched, with a half-hipped section at the west end above a brick tapered stack. The east end is hipped and brought to a low eaves above an outshot. The eaves extend above two dormers, with cills at eaves level. The walls are plain with a high plinth, and contain casement windows. A plain doorway is sheltered by a shallow wooden porch with a thatched canopy.
