Description
No. 17 is a cottage dating from the late 18th century, constructed of brick and thatch. It features a symmetrical front facing north, with two storeys and three windows, although the center window is filled in. There are outshots at each end of the building. The roof has a gabled design on the east side and is hipped on the west, with low eaves above the outshots. The walls are built in Flemish bond with blue headers, and the ground floor openings are cambered. The west outshot is boarded, while the east gable displays ten horizontal flint panels. The windows are casements, and there is a boarded door set in a solid frame, topped by a gabled and tiled canopy with wavy bargeboards and decorative struts. Additionally, there is a small 20th-century outshot on the east side, made of brick with a corrugated asbestos roof.
