Description

The Maltings is a house dating from 1840, situated at right-angles to the roadway in Ibthorpe, Hurstbourne Tarrant. It is constructed of flint and slate, featuring a symmetrical front with two storeys and four windows. The hipped roof is complemented by flint walls that have brick dressings, including quoins, cambered openings, a ground floor cill band, and a plinth. The windows are cast-iron coupled casements, and there is one small window in a blocked doorway. A 20th-century porch made of flint and brick, topped with a hipped tile roof, has been added. The roof timber is inscribed with "TW 1840."
