Description

Old Malt Cottage is a house that dates from the 17th century and 18th century, with improvements and restoration from the 20th century. It is a timber-framed building topped with a thatched roof. The cottage has one storey and an attic, featuring three windows. The roof is shaped, with the east gable boarded and the west gable oversailing to cover a large tapered chimney stack. The exposed frame includes rendered and brick panels, and there are casement windows. A 20th-century rendered porch with a tiled roof is present at the front. On the north side, there is a garage that projects forward, which also has a thatched roof and rendered walls.
