Description
This is a barn dating from the 18th century, located 60 meters southwest of Windover Farm House. It features a timber-frame structure with walls that are partly weatherboarded and partly covered with corrugated iron. The roof is also made of corrugated iron, with a brick and slate addition. The barn is situated in a hollow to the south of the farmyard, facing the A30 road. It has four bays with aisles around three sides, except at the far end where two lower bays were added in the late 18th century. There are double doors cut into the aisle in the second bay from the road end and in the far bay. The roof is hipped and slopes down at the road end, while it is half-hipped at the far end. The addition features four doors set between brick piers, with the roof hipped towards the far end. Inside, there is a queen post roof with cambered ties, braces to the ties and aisle plates, and wind braces.
