Description
Manor Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century, early 18th century, and early 19th century. It features mixed wall materials and a tiled roof, and is built in a T-shaped block. The cross piece is the older section, characterized by thick rendered walls and stone quoins, along with a large clasped buttress made of stepped brickwork at the angle. The stem of the house is from the early 18th century. The building has irregular window placements, including some early 19th century sash windows.
The front (south-east) elevation has two windows, roughcast walls, a first-floor band, a plinth, and flat and cambered arches, with one upper opening filled in. There is a projecting stepped stack, sashes of various sizes, and a late 19th century rectangular bay with casements and a hipped tiled roof. The north-east elevation is rendered above a brick plinth, with unevenly spaced sash windows of different sizes.
The internal angle on the west side features flint walls on the ground floor with brick quoins, a first-floor band, cambered arches, a cill band, and a plinth, while the upper walls are made of brick in Flemish and English bond, also with sashes. The hip at the north-west extends to low eaves above an outshot and connects to a narrow service wing. Among several doors, the main entrance is a glazed porch with a hipped roof. There are two flat-roofed 20th century dormers on the south-east and north-east elevations. Inside, there is an 18th century staircase with slatted balusters.
