Description

This building is a barn and stable located 40 yards west of Sargents Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is an L-shaped timber-framed structure consisting of five bays on each side, featuring aisles. The building has a Queen post truss with long diagonal supports to the aisle frames. The roof is made of corrugated asbestos and is hipped at both ends and the outer angle, while the walls are boarded. At the east end, there is a small extension that serves as a stable, which has a hipped slate roof and is constructed from flint walls with brick dressings.
