Description

Bowers Cottage is a pair of cottages, now combined into a single dwelling, dating mainly to the late 18th century. Originally timber-framed, it retains a substantial chimney breast. The construction is flint, with a thatched roof. The building is arranged as one storey and attic, with a symmetrical facade of four windows. The roof is half-hipped, featuring brick gables towards the top, a small eyebrow dormer, and another dormer made visible by the raised eaves. Brick detailing includes quoins, horizontal bands, vertical accents, cambered arches above the windows, and a filled doorway. Windows are casement-style. A plain doorway is recessed within a 20th-century porch with a slate roof.
