Description

West Dene is a cottage dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of flint and brick, topped with a thatched roof. The front (east) elevation features two storeys and three windows, with a hipped roof that has a catslide extending to an outshot at the rear. The flint walls are accented with brick quoins, verticals, bands, and cambered arches, all of which are currently painted. The windows are casements. On the south side, there is a timber-framed gabled porch clad in corrugated iron, while the other entrance is simple, featuring a boarded door.
