Description
Elm Tree Cottage is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century but was altered in the 18th century. It features a timber frame with colourwashed brick infill and an addition. The roof is covered with shingles, which was formerly thatched. The cottage has a central 19th-century half-glazed four-panel door that is sheltered by a pent-roofed hood. On either side of the door, there are two-light casement windows. Above, in the gabled dormer, there is another two-light casement window. The roof is half-hipped, with a ridge stack positioned above the door, and there is an outshot with a swept-down roof extending from the half-hip.
