Description
Staddles is a cottage that dates back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame that is mostly encased in brick, with one side later painted. The roof is covered in plain tiles and is half-hipped. The building has three bays and is one and a half stories tall, with an additional 18th-century bay added to one end.
The roadside elevation includes the right-hand 18th-century bay, which has a raised band. There is a 12-pane sash window in the bay next to it, along with single lights in the other bay. Above the center bay, there are two flat-roofed dormers. The garden front has 20th-century two and three-light casements, as well as three gabled dormers with three lights each. A chimney stack is located at the right-hand end of the original part of the building.
