Description

These are three mid-19th century terraced houses, each with a gable end facing the street. They are built of painted brick with a horizontal brick band at the level of the first-floor window sills. The roofs are tiled. Each house has three storeys and one window; these are narrow, single-light casement windows set within the gable ends. The first floor, and the ground floor of number 2, feature sash windows with glazing bars. Numbers 1 and 3 have reproduction bow windows on the ground floor. All the front doors have round arches with moulded architraves and stucco tympana. Numbers 1 to 6 (consecutively), along with the Bird Cage and Quay Stores, together with a band of paving on the east side of Quay Street, form a group.
