Description

Downlands Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage constructed of painted brick with a thatched roof. It is positioned with its end facing the road and features three bays across one storey. The front of the cottage includes a weatherboarded, hip-roofed porch at the road end bay, which has a planked door and a single-light casement window beside it. The other two bays contain two-light casement windows. Above these bays, there is a long eyebrow dormer with two-light casements. The roof is half-hipped, and there is a chimney stack located above the road end bay. This cottage is included for its group value.
