Description
West House is a late 18th and early 19th century house that has been altered in the 19th century. The front is built of brick with stone quoins, while the side bays are a mix of brick and flint. It has a slate roof. The house is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays by three bays. The front features a central four-panel door with a semi-circular fanlight above, which has radiating glazing bars and a flat hood supported by posts. Each side of the front has a sixteen-pane sash window set within a rubbed brick arch. On the first floor, there are three smaller sixteen-pane sashes. All windows have later Roman cement architraves. The house has wide eaves and a low-pitched hipped roof with end stacks on the front bays of the sides.
