Description
High Bank is a house dating from the late 17th century and 18th century. It is constructed of a small-sized combination of brick and flint, featuring stone quoins and a thatched roof. The building is 1 and a half storeys tall, with three bays and a passage/smoke bay. A late 18th-century bay has been added to the left-hand side, and a 19th-century tiled lean-to projects forward at the right-hand end.
There is a blocked door in the passage bay to the left of the center of the original part, and a 2-light casement window has been inserted, similar to the one on the left. Smaller 2-light leaded casements are located on the left, with one in the right bay and another high-set in the left-hand added bay. Above the original right-hand center bay, there is a 2-light eyebrow dormer, along with a small 1-light similar dormer in the passage bay. Between the left-hand bays, there is another 2-light eyebrow dormer. The roof is half-hipped, featuring end stacks and a large stack over the passage bay.
