Description
Garretts is a house with an attached wall, dating from the mid-18th century, with an early 19th-century wing. It is constructed of brick, featuring some blue bricks, and has an old plain tile roof. The main part of the building is two stories high and has three bays, while the early 19th-century wing is a lower two-story structure with two wide bays. The main entrance has a central six-panel door beneath a flat hood supported by cut brackets. On either side of the door, there are three-light casement windows set under chequerwork arches, and on the first floor, there is a raised brick band with a three-light casement window on each side of a two-light window. The eaves are dentilled, and there are gable walls with end stacks. The wing features 20th-century windows, dentil eaves, a central stack, and a hipped roof at the end. The wall extends from the wing, constructed of brick, and continues along the road with flint and brick bands.
