Description

Read's Farmhouse is a mid-18th century brick farmhouse with a roof of old plain tiles. The main part of the house is two storeys high and has three bays, with single-storey service wings extending from one end and the rear of the other end bay. The front of the house has a central, 20th-century pent-roofed porch with half-glazed timber panels. On either side of the porch are two-light casement windows, each set under a rubbed brick arch. A first-floor band runs along the top of the ground floor. Above, there are three two-light casement windows. Brick stacks are located at each end of the building.
